Eric Cantor Wants to cut spending to pay for Tornado damage, Biden May Run and Other

News That’s True But Unbelievable

Eric Cantor (R, Va) wants to make sure that any spending to help people in Joplin, Mo. must be offset by other spending.  The Dismal Political Economist assume that he means he wants to take disaster relief away from some people to give it to other people.

According to Politico, Joe Biden is at least considering a run for the Presidency in 2016.  Really, see Biden May Run in 2016.

Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown (R) is getting the message on the Ryan Plan for ending Medicare.  And the message he is getting is, let’s not do it.

Donald Trump says he could get back into the race for the Republican nomination.  This is worse than a vampire candidacy.  At least with a vampire if you get a stake into its heart it goes away.

Michael Steele, former head of the Republican National Committee, is joining MSNBC.  Seems like a logical replacement for Keith Olbermann.

Finally, President Obama is in Ireland, which he claims as an ancestral home. Somebody needs to tell Mr. Gingrich so he can stop the Kenyan charges.
