Maybe the Best Writer on the NYT Editorial Pages

Mark Bittman used to be the best food writer on the New York Time staff.  He gave up his regular column and now writes occasionally on the editorial pages.  He may now be the best writer on those pages, (although that is not the praise it used to be).
