Richard Posner and Making Sense, and Reality Follows Satire . . .

Is it just us, or does this sentence make no sense at all. [From Paul Caron’s  excellent Tax Prof Blog]

Both the advocacy of the tax subsidies for the oil industry and the advocacy for eliminating them are unsound, but the case for eliminating them is strong

The Dismal Political Economist was being satirical when he posed the question would we see articles about Newt Gingrich quitting the campaign.  Yet, immediately after that post here we have one.
