Here is the Typical Sunday Lineup on Political Talk Shows – Republicans, Republicans, Republicans and Some Token Democrats

Democrats Don’t Need Media Bias – They Just Need Media Fairness

The unceasing refrain from Republicans and Conservatives is that the national media is biased against them.  In their minds that’s the only reason their ideas and ideology are accepted by a majority of the population, it must be bias on the part of the communications industry.

So to confirm that bias here is the lineup of the Sunday talks shows that just took place.

On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and the committee’s ranking Democrat, Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen, debate the president’s spending plan and discuss the just-passed deal to extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits.

Okay, that looks about right, but then NBC always has had a bias against Conservatives by giving equal time to the other side.  Here’s CBS’s Face the Nation

Meanwhile, CBS’s “Face the Nation” hosts former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who’s surging in Michigan and nationally in his bid for the GOP presidential nomination.

And of course there is the always reliable Fox News, ready to give airtime to a wide variety of opinions, Conservative Republican opinions that is.

“Fox News Sunday” has another White House hopeful, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), as well as House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.).

And CNN who greatly envies Fox News and their ratings had  two people who are just about totally irrelevant in national politics and in the Republican race

And CNN’s “State of the Union” features yet another presidential contender, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), as well as Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who dropped her bid last month.

Yes,  Michele Bachmann,  a person whose only talent seems to be an inexplicable ability to get on the national news shows.

And what Sunday would be complete without the appearance of John McCain

ABC’s “This Week” hosts Arizona Sen. John McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, and former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, now an adviser to the president’s reelection campaign.

C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” has House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.), interviewed by Mike Lillis of The Hill newspaper and Sean Lengell of The Washington Times.

along with C-SPAN’s interview with the always newsworthy Fred Upton (who?).

But wait, it is not all Republicans

And TV One’s “Washington Watch” interviews California Attorney General Kamala Harris about the lingering housing crisis.

which is important because just last week TV One doubled their viewership, from 2 people to 4 people, although to be fair one of the new viewers was really looking for re-runs of Scoobey Doo.
