As Rare as Six Thursdays In a Month – Sunday Talks Shows Do Not Have Senator John McCain On Any of Them

Going for the Holy Grail – A Sunday Without McCain and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham

On the Sunday news talk shows today, you know the ones that have experts in the their field blowhard politicians and commentators with no expertise in international affairs, domestic policy or science, there is a startling event.  None, absolutely none of the shows have Sen. John McCain scheduled to be interviewed.  A Sunday news talk show without Sen. McCain is like the Maltese Falcon, it is the stuff that dreams are made of.

Oh No, sorry, we misread the schedule.

Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York, and Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, both members of the bipartisan group of eight senators working on comprehensive immigration legislation, will appear on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

Darn, another dream vision shot to hell.  Another disappointing Sunday.  But The Dismal Political Economist is nothing but optimistic, and one day, maybe, just maybe there will be a Sunday news interview show without both Sen. McCain and his joined at the hip on every week colleague Sen. Lindsey Graham. After all this week Sen. McCain is appearing on only one show, instead of his customary 17.
